Interviewing is a skill that constantly needs to be refreshed and refined. So much of what we do in our professions is based on our ability to communicate with people. We are frequently required to extract truthful and reliable information from others and use that information to formulate a plan of action or to make an informed decision.
During this one and a half day course you will learn the techniques used by professional interviewers that have helped to successfully conclude high profile and complex investigations.
This program is geared to Law Enforcement, Security and Loss Prevention Officers, Private Investigators, Human Resource Specialists, the legal profession and interviewers of all competency levels.
Instructor:Jim Van Allen has fifteen years experience as a certified Criminal Profiler. Jim has been a behavioural investigative consultant to many serious and high profile international cases.
Jim has trained across Canada and the United States on major and serial investigations, interviewing and behavioural analysis. He graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He has professional associations with the RCMP, FBI, Virginia State Police, Texas Rangers, L.A. County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and other federal, state and municipal police agencies in North America, The Netherlands and Australia.
